Dear Families, As human`s we should all know what it is like to lose a loved one. Sometime loosing others is not as easy losing the one who are closest to us. I have even lost someone close to me and it`s not easy. I have always been told that loosing someone will make you stronger and will help you out in life. Also, that people have to die and when they die it means that it is their time to go. Our loved ones are going to heaven and we will soon meet up with them one day. Finally, I was reading a President Obama's Eulogy at UBB Memorial and he said that we cannot bring back the 29 men we lost. They are with the Lord now. Our task, here on Earth, is to save lives from being lost in another such tragedy. To do what must be done, individually and collectively, to assure safe conditions underground. To treat our miners the way they treat each other – like family. For we are all family. We are Americans. Then in the end of the eulogy he gave a scripture from psalms that we go to when often in heartache: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”May God bless our fallen miners? May they rest in eternal peace? And may the people of West Virginia and America find comfort in faith, and in one another, in the days to come. Thanks for Your Time, Jessica |
